MIS Faculty Position
The University of Illinois at Springfield invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level within the Department of Management Information Systems with the appointment beginning January 15th, 2014.
Qualifications: An earned doctorate in MIS at the time of appointment from an AACSB accredited institution; those with ABD status will be considered at the application/interviewing stage. A strong commitment to an interactive, student-centered learning environment and to serving the needs of a diverse student body consisting of both traditional and non-traditional learners is required. Commitment to teaching as the primary mission, with scholarly research as the second priority, and service as the third priority. Ability and willingness to prepare and deliver online, blended, on-campus, and off-campus courses in at least two of the following areas: Data Warehousing, Data Mining, Business Intelligence, Health Care Informatics Curriculum related courses such as Healthcare Information Systems, Human – Computer Interaction Design, and Electronic Medical Record is required. A record of high quality scholarship or evidence of the ability to produce intellectual contributions leading to publication in refereed journals is required.
Located in the state capital, the University of Illinois Springfield is one of three campuses of the University of Illinois.
