The University of Illinois Springfield (UIS) Center for Entrepreneurship launched January 27, 2005, and is a part of the Illinois Entrepreneurship Network along with twelve other centers in the State.
This network gives additional support
to the quarter of a century history of entrepreneurship at UIS. The
Center for Entrepreneurship in the College of Business and Management
began in 1983 and its Director was Dr. Richard Judd. Dr. Judd
is once again the Director of the Center.
To support the Center in achieving its academic and economic development goals, two distinguished professorships will be allocated to work with the Center. They are the National City Distinguished Professorship and the Ameren Distinguished Professorship. The National City position will be in entrepreneurship and small business management while the Ameren position focuses on regulatory law and business.
