Summer Program Activities
ISPEL arranges fieldtrips and activities during the week which are included in the program fee. These activities are designed to provide insight into American culture, help students acclimate to and learn about Springfield and central Illinois, and improve students’ communicative abilities as they interact with different people in many different settings. It is expected that students will actively participate in the activities.
Students will have the opportunity to help plan the day trips to ensure they are able to visit sites they are interested in. All activities are chaperoned by a member of ISPEL or UIS staff.
