Current Students
UIS Students have full access to the wide variety of postings of full-time and part-time jobs, internships, volunteer openings and more with UIS CareerConnect!  Students are also able to upload their resumes, cover letters and other career documents to manage their job search by creating a comprehensive E-Portfolio.  Additionally, registration for events, workshops, information sessions, and on-campus interviewing occurs in UIS CareerConnect. 

Current UIS Students have been automatically registered for UIS CareerConnect and do not need to fill out the registration form. To login to UIS CareerConnect, enter your netID (without the @uis.edu portion) as your username. The first time you login, you will need to use the "Need Password" link available on the login page. This will activate your account and set a random, secure password for you. Your password will be sent to your UIS email address. You may change your password by clicking on the profile tab once you login for the first time.

Any student who has submitted a "Request to Prevent Disclosure of Directory Information" form with Records and Registration has not been registered for UIS CareerConnect. These students will need to manually register for UIS CareerConnect using the instructions below.

How to Register:

1. From the UIS Career Development Center homepage, click the UIS CareerConnect icon.
2. Click “I am a Student/Alumni”
3. Click either the “Register” tab at the top of the page or the “Register” button next to the log-in area.
4. Fill out your profile information and click the “Submit” button at the bottom of the page. Current students must use their NetID as their username (without @uis.edu) and their UIS email address as their email address within UIS CareerConnect.
5. You should receive an e-mail in order to confirm your e-mail address and registration.
6. Once the UIS Career Development Center approves your account, you should have complete access in to the UIS CareerConnect system and will be able to login from our homepage.

Alumni
UIS Alumni have full access to the wide variety of postings of full-time and part-time jobs, internships, volunteer openings and more with UIS CareerConnect!  Alumni are also able to upload their resumes, cover letters and other career documents to manage their job search by creating a comprehensive E-Portfolio.  Additionally, registration for events, workshops, information sessions, and on-campus interviewing occurs in UIS CareerConnect.  There is a fee for Alumni who wish to use the Career Development Center’s services, including UIS CareerConnect.  See the fee schedule or contact the Career Development Center for more information.

Employers
UIS CareerConnectis a free and unique opportunity for employers and organizations to post career openings including full-time and part-time jobs, internships, volunteer opportunities and more!  UIS CareerConnect also allows employers the ability to review resumes and portfolios of students and alumni who are looking for opportunities.  Employers can manage their on-campus interviews with interactive schedule, as well as meet the rest of each employer’s recruiting needs.  When registering, employers have the option of posting opportunities just with the UIS Career Development Center for free or posting with the NACElink Extended Network, which requires a small fee.  When posted to the NACElink Extended Network, the posting and your registration information will be also be sent to all subscribers of the same career management system provider, over 750 schools and universities.  For more information, visit http://www.nacelink.com/ or Contact Us.

How to Register:

1. From the UIS Career Development Center homepage, click the UIS CareerConnect icon.
2. Click “I am an Employer”
3. Click either the “Register” tab at the top of the page or the “Register” button next to the log-in area. If you are interested in posting with the NACElink Extended Network, then you can click “Register and Post a Job at Multiple Schools. There is a fee imposted by NACElink to post the job at multiple schools."
4. Step 4: Fill out your profile information and click the “Submit” button at the bottom of the page.
5. You should shortly receive an e-mail in order to confirm your e-mail address and registration. You should now have complete access in to the UIS CareerConnect system and will be able to log in from the UIS Career Development Center homepage.
