The purpose of the Career Development Center is to assist UIS students with the career development process. This includes self-assessment, career exploration and preparation, and career decision-making. We are available to serve YOU, any time, anywhere.

Our licensed professional counselors advocate an individualized approach to career planning. Start by discovering your interests, skills, values, and personality. We can help you wth choosing your major and introduce you to experiential learning opportunities including informational interviewing, job shadowing, and internships. We can help you write your resume, decide if graduate school is for you, create a job search plan for after graduation, and much, much more. We are here to guide you every step of the way.
