Policies
The following polices and guidelines apply to all employers offering full-time, part-time or internship employment opportunities to University of Illinois at Springfield- CDC users.
UIS and CDC Policy

Principles for Professional Conduct
The employer must adhere to the “Principles for Professional Conduct for Career Services and Employment Professionals” as established by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE).
Information about third-party recruitment, interviewing and the general recruitment polices are included in this document. We will assume you are aware of all polices before registering for on-campus recruitment.
Hiring International Students with Visas
The CDC recommends that each recruiter is well versed in the hiring practices regarding various student visa regulations.
F-1 Visas:
- Students with F-1 visas can work part-time at the school which they attend.
- Off-campus employment requires further advance permission.
- A student must have a job offer to obtain a United States social security number.
- Graduating students and those seeking internships or other experiences can obtain limited employment authorization.
- An employer may also apply for limited employment authorization.
