Career Connections Expo

The next Expo will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2018 – Registration is now open.

The 2018 Career Connections Expo will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2018 in the Recreation and Athletic Center (TRAC) on the UIS campus (2171 University Dr. Springfield, IL 62703) from 11:30 am – 2:30 pm. Prior to the start of the Expo, there will be a special Coffee & Conversation networking event for registered employers and UIS Faculty & Staff from 10:00 am – 11:00 am.

This year the Career Connections Expo is hosted by the University of Illinois Springfield, Lincoln Land Community College, and Benedictine University.

The event takes place in February on the UIS campus.  It is a great way to connect students, alumni, and community job seekers with employers who are looking for candidates for jobs, internships, volunteer opportunities, and future connections.

Foot in the Door Fair – Look for Fall 2018 registration information in June 2018.

The last Foot in the Door Fair was held on Friday, August 31, 2017

The 2017 Foot in the Door (FITD) Fair was held on Thursday, August 31st from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on the UIS campus and brought over 80 employers and nearly 300 students together.  The Foot in the Door Fair is intended to bring students and employers/organizations together at an informal fair setting to discuss a variety of career opportunities with a focus on part-time jobs, internships, and volunteer opportunities.

The Foot in the Door Fair is sponsored by the Career Development Center, Internships and Prior Learning Services Office, Volunteer and Civic Engagement Center, Office of Financial Assistance – Student Employment, Office of Student Life and the Office of International Student Services.
