The UIS Career Development Center offers 3 annual career-related fairs to help connect students, alumni, and the community with employers and graduate programs.
Springfield Collegiate Career Fair
The annual Springfield Collegiate Career Fair is held each February and is an excellent opportunity for UIS and other area college students to meet, and network with employers who have jobs, internships, or other opportunities available now or in the future. The event is free for employers and for students and community members. Staff from UIS, Lincoln Land Community College, Robert Morris University, and Benedictine University in Springfield organize the fair each year.
Foot in the Door Fair
The Foot in the Door Fair held each fall semester as students return to school. The fair was created to help students connect with local employers for part-time jobs, internships, and volunteer opportunities. Students can also look for part-time on-campus empoyment at this fair.
Graduate & Professional School Fair
The Graduate & Professional school fair is generally held during the fall semester. It is open to any student, first year though current graduate students, who have questions about graduate or professional schools. Recruiters from many Illinois and surrounding areas are invited to host a booth and talk with interested students. Many UIS graduate school programs also attend this event.
Other Off-Campus Career Fairs
Throughout the year we get information on career fairs that happen off-campus. Check this calendar for the most up to date list of career fairs and other informational events that may help you find that job, internship, or other opportunity!
