Every UIS student is entitled to 100 megabytes of storage space on the network server. This space is free for students to store important homework or personal files. The storage space is private, and will not be accessible to anyone except the student.
When you log into a Windows PC computer on campus using your NetID, your network drive connection will automatically be mapped and available for use. The drive will be called "yournetid on 'uis10\sdata' (Z:)" For example, John Smith's network drive connection would read: jsmit2 on 'uis10\sdata' (Z:).
If you are on an off-campus computer, such as your own personal computer at home, you can still access your network drive by mapping it. This requires that you first be connected to the UIS network using the UIS VPN Client.
