Outdoor Adventures Overview
Campus Recreation has developed an Outdoor Adventures program to provide a variety of opportunities for participants to engage in outdoor activities. The Outdoor Adventures program is committed to providing enjoyable, challenging, meaningful and educational experiences that will allow individuals and groups to learn the skills necessary for survival and safety in the outdoors as well as develop an appreciation for the environment.
All Outdoor Adventures trips will be led by an experienced trip leader and will be open to students and recreation members. No equipment or experience is required, just an open mind and willingness to have fun.
As there is limited seating on each trip, seating is on a first come – first served basis. Beginning in Fall 2015, you will only be allowed to register you and one other individual for each trip. For example, if you have a group of ten that want to attend a trip, five members must be present. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE.
If there are more people attempting to register for a trip at 9 a.m. than there are spots available, a lottery will be used to determine trip participants. If you have class on Mondays at 9 a.m., please email Jay Swenson at firstname.lastname@example.org and you will be added to the lottery.
In order to reserve your seat on the trip you must provide both a completed trip registration form and proper payment. These items must be brought to the Campus Recreation office (REC 1008) to register for a trip. If either item is missing we CANNOT reserve your seat.
Please note all Outdoor Adventures trips are 100% tobacco and alcohol free.
