Robyn Crutchfield

Robyn Crutchfield wanted to make sure she was far enough away from home, but not too far when she chose the University of Illinois Springfield. “I enjoy the small school feel of UIS and the feeling of support I get here,” she says. The sociology major is heavily involved on campus as president of the Alternative Spring Break student organization and the Tau Chi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. She’s also treasurer of Black Student Union, which works to empower minority students. “UIS is preparing me with my future by providing me with a good education,” she says. “I have been able to test my own leadership skills in many situations.”

Leadership is lived at UIS. Every day.
