Shelby Bedford

Shelby Bedford has worked with multiple organizations on campus and has organized and led the annual yellow ribbon event to honor our veterans. She is employed at Transition Services as a student success ambassador, where she helps incoming students become comfortable with their new environment. Even with an active campus schedule, Bedford has also found time to study abroad in China, South Korea, Japan, and Costa Rica. The multitude of leadership opportunities that UIS has provided, as well as guidance from professors, she says, has helped her to develop invaluable professional and academic skills that will help her continue to grow as a global citizen.

Leadership is lived at UIS. Every day.
