Regina Bolin was recently honored with the Student Laureate Award from the Lincoln Academy of Illinois. She was selected over all other University of Illinois Springfield seniors to receive the award, which was presented by Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner. Bolin is vice president of the Alternative Spring Break student organization, a member of the Capital Scholars Honors Program, Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Bolin also played on the UIS Prairie Stars Women’s Soccer team for four years, being named to the Athletics Academic Honor Roll three times. Following graduation, Bolin plans to attend graduate school and pursue a career in the business marketing field.
