A blog, or weblog, is updated frequently with links, commentary and anything else you like. New items show up at the top, so your visitors can read what's new. Older items flow down the page. You can set it up so that visitors can or cannot comment on your blog entries.
Blogs can focus on one narrow subject or range across a universe of topics. The blog form is unique to the Web -- and highly addictive. There are millions of them, in all shapes and sizes, and they are easy to create and maintain.
How can I view a Blog?
Because a blog is basically a Web site, all you need is the URL - or Web
address. See the box on the right for links to various Blogs from UIS.
Another way to view blogs is through news reader technologies like RSS. Using news reader software, you can quickly view a feed of recent headlines from a variety of blogs. It saves a lot of Web surfing time and gives you a summary of news from your favorite sources.
