New students are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the department’s advising resources prior to registration. Please follow these instructions to determine initial academic advising:
New transfer students with 30 hours or more of transfer coursework are encouraged to contact the College of Business and Management Undergraduate Academic Advisor, Renee A. Clausner at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (217) 206-8273 for an initial appointment. In this meeting you will learn about our Degree Audit Reporting System (DARS), the courses required for adequate progress, transfer of courses, and recieve material that will be key to your success in our program. You may also contact the BUS Springfield campus program assistant, Karen Headrick, at email@example.com or call her at (217) 206-6780.
First semester students or transfer students with fewer than 30 hours should contact the Undergraduate Academic Advising office: firstname.lastname@example.org or call 206-7471.
BBA majors are also assigned a BUS faculty adviser. Once initial advising has been completed, students should contact their faculty adviser- that info is listed on the DARS audit or a student may contact the department office for assistance.
This initial advising will help you learn about our program, develop an academic plan best suited to your personal or work related goals, and assure orderly completion of your degree requirements.
