Dr. Wright has been teaching at UIS since 1991. His main teaching areas have been Business Research, Principles of Marketing and Marketing Management.
Dr. Wright's research interests are in the areas of innovation and performance in small businesses, marketing of recycling, performance predictors for MBA students and issues related to student evaluations of teaching performance. Since arriving at UIS, Dr. Wright has had 24 journal articles published and two additional manuscripts accepted for publication in journals. Dr. Wright was named a University of Illinois University Scholar in 2001 for his achievements in scholarship and teaching.
