Dr. Ardeshir Lohrasbi

Dr. Lohrasbi has published papers in the areas of production, inventory, operations management and computer applications. He has served as the Track Chair of Production and Operations Management section for the Midwest Business Administration Association, Decision Science Institute, and Operations Research/The Institute of Management Science.  His current research is in the area of service management and its effect in industry and society, factories of the future, management information systems, and measuring and improving productivity, cost and benefit analysis in the manufacturing and service sectors.

On-Going research includes Six Sigma: leading improvement in the Service Sectors, Development and Implementation of Benchmarking for Industry,  Improving Large Hospital Emergency Department Operations through Application of Queuing Theory: Project being conducted at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield Illinois, Crisis Management, Total Quality Management (TQM) and Global Operations Management, Implementation of Computer Technology in Service Management.
