APAC PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FUNDING IS NOW AVAILABLE

We are pleased to announce FY 2017 funding is available to assist Academic Professionals at UIS with professional development.  Each Academic Professional employed at least 50% time may apply for up to $1200 for use toward any aspect of professional development during FY 2017 (July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017).  Examples include subscription to a journal, conference and meeting registration, conference travel, workshops, and costs associated with a college course.

There will be one round of funding.  Applications for funding should be submitted to Rebekah Grosboll at rlanp01s@uis.edu or MS PAC 350 no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 6, 2017. (Electronic submission is preferred.)

CAPE AWARD

Mark Dochterman, director of the University of Illinois Springfield Volunteer & Civic Engagement Center, is the recipient of the 13th annual Chancellor’s Academic Professional Excellence (CAPE) Award. The award was presented by Chancellor Susan J. Koch during a ceremony on April 28, 2016.

CAPE AWARD

Tarah Sweeting-Trotter, undergraduate academic advisor at the University of Illinois Springfield, was honored with the 11th annual Chancellor’s Academic Professional Excellence Award (CAPE) on April 24, 2014.

Sweeting-Trotter’s nominator notes “she spends extra time, extra effort and goes above and beyond for her students. She has a very can-do-attitude and is a pleasure to work with.”

 CAPE AWARD

Emily Boles, computer assisted instruction specialist with the UIS Center for Online Learning, Research, and Service (COLRS) , was honored with the 10th annual CAPE Award on April 17, 2013.

The Chancellor’s Academic Professional Excellence (CAPE) Award honors all Academic Professionals at UIS by recognizing one outstanding AP each year.

APAC Campus Wide Meeting

APAC held its annual Campus Wide Meeting on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, in Brookens Auditorium. Coffee and breakfast items were available at 8:30 AM in the Brookens Auditorium Lobby.

The meeting began at 9:00 AM.

Chancellor Susan Koch and Provost Lynn Pardie addressed the group, and APAC presented its annual review and committee reports.
