Advanced Placement (AP)

UIS is pleased to accept Advanced Placement scores in certain areas for credit toward the undergraduate degree. Students who completed advanced placement courses and pass the corresponding exam with acceptable scores may submit official scores to the admissions office for consideration of receiving credit for entry level courses. If you have submitted AP scores to UIS Admissions, be sure to discuss this credit with your advisor when planning your course schedule.

College Level Examination Program (CLEP)

UIS accepts CLEP credit for toward the undergraduate degree for certain entry level courses. UIS administers CLEP exams in certain areas through its Career Development Center. Visit the Center for a CLEP/UIS Course Map to determine the exams, scores, and course equivalents. If you have submitted CLEP scores to UIS Admissions, be sure to discuss this credit with your advisor when planning your course schedule.
