Dr. Li-Lin “Sunny” Liu, assistant professor of accountancy, received her Ph.D. in Accounting from Florida International University in 2007, an M.S. in Accountancy from California State University, Los Angeles and a B.A. in Foreign Language and Literature from Tunghai University, TW.

Before joining UIS, Dr. Liu taught at the California State University – Dominguez Hills.  Her teaching interests include Financial and Managerial Accounting, Intermediate Accounting, Advanced Accounting and Auditing.

 Research interests include internal control and auditing, financial accounting, corporate governance, and healthcare accounting.

Aside from being a CPA, Dr. Liu is also a certified real estate broker in the state of California. She is an active member of the American Accounting Association.
