Mark Buxton, CPA and assistant professor of accountancy, received his Ph.D. in Accounting from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2008, a Master’s in Business Administration from Ball State University and a B.A. in Accounting from Western Kentucky University.
Before joining UIS, Dr. Buxton taught at the Niagara University in New York. His teaching interests include Accounting Principles, Financial and Managerial Accounting while research and professional interests include behavioral/decision-making in business situations.
When not teaching, he spends a lot of time with his family. He is also a big sports fan (loves the Steelers and Penguins) and enjoys snow-skiing and traveling.
