The mission of the University Health and Safety Committee is to foster a safe environment for all campus constituencies and visitors. The primary responsibility of the committee is to address significant health and safety issues in campus programs and facilities, and to take timely action to implement appropriate corrective actions to protect the campus/University from predictable/avoidable citations and unnecessary liability. The committee is advisory to the campus Safety Officer and ultimately to the Vice Chancellor Administrative Services.
The committee shall also consider and/or facilitate educational programs such as workshops and special training sessions that are mandated or will help develop awareness and understanding of sound health and safety practices, and promote safe and health lifestyles.
COMMITTEE AND MEETINGS:

Meeting shall be held at least once per quarter at the call of the Chair. Minutes shall be coordinated with all meeting attendees and the final minutes provided to the committee members, with copies to other attendees and the Vice Chancellor Administrative Services.
