Veterans' Reemployment Rights

According to the federal statute on veterans’ reemployment rights, an employee who is inducted into the military has the right to reemployment without loss of seniority, provided that the employee makes application for reemployment within 90 days after being relieved of such military training and service. A leave of absence without pay should be requested in these cases. The employee shall be entitled to participate in insurance or other benefits offered by the employer pursuant to established rules and practices relating to employees on leave of absence in effect with the employer at the time such person was inducted. For further information contact Human Resources (6-6652).
