Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL)

The UIS Center for Teaching and Learning-Learning Center is a friendly study place. All students, particularly undergraduates, are assured courteous, diplomatic assistance. The CTL offers individual appointments and small group presentations, online and face-to-face, in a richly supportive learning environment. "Confidentiality and Respect" is the CTL motto. Our staff is pledged to nurture students academically using tried and true approaches to teaching and learning.

The Center for Teaching and Learning - Faculty Development Office (FDO) is a teaching resource center for all faculty to enrich their teaching pedagogies through a year-round workshop series, many web-based tutorials, and a library of resource. The office works closely with a faculty advisory board to encourage intellectual dialogue about teaching and learning in all colleges at UIS.

The CTL has three main divisions: Academic Support, Test Proctoring and Faculty Development.
