Public Transportation
The Springfield Mass Transit District provides bus transportation between the Springfield downtown area and the campus between 6:00 a.m. and 11:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; limited service is available on Saturdays from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.. Students can ride the bus between UIS and Lincoln Land Community College at no cost. Discount passes are available at the Cashier's Office on the lower level of the Public Affairs Center (PAC). Motor Pool Vehicles
Motor pool vehicles are available for use by campus employees for official campus business. Vehicles are available on a first-come-first-serve basis, and reservations are required. A driver must be a campus employee and must have a valid driver’s license which authorizes him/her to drive motor vehicles in the state of Illinois. Certain other rules and restrictions apply to vehicle usage and liability. Vehicle reservations and key pick-up can be arranged at the Motor Pool Office.
