Campus Services offers full service course packet preparation, including copyright clearance, duplicating, binding, and delivery to the UIS Bookstore for sale to students. The campus’ copyright policy, established November 1, 1995, states that all course packet materials that are to be sold in the bookstore must have copyright approvals in writing (for the complete policy, see Copyright in the Professional Roles and Responsibilities section of this handbook). This service provides a mechanism for faculty to be in full compliance with the policy and copyright laws. The academic department or program must pay for unsold bookstore copies. Publications
Campus Relations (6-6716) and the publications unit in Campus Services (6-6776) both provide assistance in developing publications. Campus Relations is responsible for or assists with the production of the UIS catalog, course schedules, viewbook, faculty and staff directory, and recruitment materials for all academic departments and programs. The publications unit in Campus Services assists the campus in developing all type of publications.
Design Services
There are two different design service units on campus: Campus Services and Campus Relations.
1. Campus Services
Campus Graphic Design/Publications/Color Output Services provides design, composition, and final layout for all campus printed materials. Brochures, booklets, posters, flyers, handbooks, newsletters, and invitations can be created from draft/idea stage through production by professional electronic designing and composing technicians. Campus Services staff help individuals and campus units meet a wide range of public relations needs in a variety of ways, tailoring their services to specific requests.

2. Campus Relations
Campus Relations provides design services to academic departments and programs for recruitment brochures and posters. Campus Relations staff work with faculty to select from designs specifically created for those publications. Staff also design publicity and promotion strategies, recruitment advertisements, and image campaigns.

The Office of Technology-Enhanced Learning (OTEL) provides support for the delivery of online instruction.
