Alumni Association

The University of Illinois Alumni Association (UIAA) is the official link between the University and its alumni. The UIAA directly represents the interests of the alumni body, including graduates of the Sangamon State University era. The mission of the UIAA is to advance the general welfare of the University of Illinois and to inspire lifelong pride and loyalty among alumni and friends by developing and enhancing their continued relationship with the University. It is the belief of the UIAA that consistent alumni involvement enriches the University and improves the quality of campus life and education.

Functions and services of the UIAA include:

• Maintain, update and protect the confidentiality of alumni records
• Keep alumni and other interested parties abreast of current issues, events and accomplishments
• Advocate for alumni in expressing their opinions and preferences to the University
• Communicate unique and special opportunities designed exclusively for alumni of the University
• Publish UIS Horizons, the official alumni magazine for graduates of UIS
