UIS Campus Climate for Diversity Survey
Welcome to the UIS Campus Climate for Diversity Survey page.
The survey has been designed to gather your views on diversity at the University of Illinois Springfield, especially the degree to which all members of the campus community feel respected and valued. Diversity refers to people of different backgrounds, identities, beliefs, and languages. As used in this survey, the term diversity includes different racial and ethnic backgrounds, countries of origin, gender, sexual orientation, religions, and so forth. By climate, we mean how comfortable, respected, and supported people feel at UIS.
Your perceptions of the campus climate for diversity are very important to us, and we appreciate your willingness to share your views by answering these survey questions. Your honest feedback will allow us to identify areas in need of attention as well as to build on our strengths. The survey results will also become part of reports that we must submit to the Illinois Board of Higher Education, and will be shared with our accrediting body, the Higher Learning Commission.
Your participation in this survey is completely voluntary and confidential. Your NetID and password are needed to gain electronic access to the survey, but your responses will not be stored with your ID or any other individually identifying information. While the survey asks for some general information about those who complete the survey, the questions are broad in nature and will not identify any individual in particular. For example, the survey asks you to indicate the campus division, but not the individual department or unit, in which you work.
The survey will take about 20 minutes to complete, and the questions cover a broad range of topics that are relevant to campus climate. The results of the survey will be summarized and reported as a whole. We understand that you may not have opinions for every question, so we have included response options that allow you to indicate no response if you wish. We hope that you will take time to answer all of the questions because your views matter.
If you experience technical difficulties in completing the survey, please contact the Office of Web Services at email@example.com or 206.6716.
