About the Contest
The University of Illinois at Springfield and the Illinois Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission are co-sponsoring a state-wide contest in honor of the 200th anniversary of the birth of our 16th President. There are three categories in the contest: Historical essay, Creative Expression in the Written Word and Performance/Visual Arts. The first prize in each category will be a One-Year Tuition Scholarship to the University of Illinois at Springfield.
