Campus Police Department
UIS employs a full-time, full service police force to protect and provide assistance to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Officers routinely patrol the campus on bicycles and in cars.

  • Eighteen "Code Blue" emergency telephones are located strategically throughout campus and connect the caller immediately to the police department.

  • Residence Hall Security: Residence halls have top quality security systems, electronic building access, video monitoring of entrances and exits, and full time residence hall directors.

Campus Health Services
The Pond at Illinois SpringfieldProfessional health care is provided to all students whether or not they have student health insurance.

Counseling Center
Trained professionals provide confidential services to individuals, couples, families, and groups.

Child Care Center
One of the best child care facilities in the community, the campus Child Care Center serves children aged 15 months to 12 years.
