Voter Registration and Education
The SGA is committed to encouraging civic engagement in students. As part of the Homecoming week activities, we will host a voter registration drive co-sponsored by College Democrats, College Republicans and Campus Greens and promote political participation through a series of educational programs and events.
Transportation
Members of the SGA have met with administrators and representatives from SMTD to discuss how to bring reliable bus service to campus. We plan to solicit student input in the future regarding the creation of a potential bus route and a possible fee for the service.
Sexual Assault Education and Prevention
The safety and well-being of students is a main priority, which is why the SGA fully supports implementing a comprehensive and sustainable program for sexual assault education and prevention. We also support easily accessible resources and support services for sexual assault survivors.
