Erin Wilson
candidate for Transfer Student Senator

I am running for re-election of the position of Senator of Transfer students for UIS’s Student Government Association. I am a Legal Studies and Political Science double major, and I am starting my junior year. After the failure of the Student Union Referendum last year, it became clear to me that students are strongly opposed to raising student fees. Over the summer, a resolution was brought forth to put a moratorium, or freeze, on student fees for fiscal year 2010/2011. I am in support of this resolution, and I plan to vote in favor of it, pending my re-election. I feel that in order to be a successful senator, I need to represent my constituents to the best of my ability, which is exactly what I plan to do if re-elected to the position of Senator of Transfer Students. I encourage not only transfer students, but also any student to bring forth to me any issues they have regarding the University, and I will do my best to come to some sort of solution. Thank you for your consideration, and I would strongly appreciate your vote!
