I am Braxton Denton, I am running for Senator at Large of Student Government Association to help ensure the most productive & dependable student led club on campus. The purpose of SGA is to make your education here a more rewarding one & that is precisely why I am running for Senator at Large. I feel that the unofficial job description is someone who can be a true leader, someone who is completely dependable, & someone who knows the ins & outs of getting things done. I believe my prior & current experiences make me as qualified as anyone else to lead this fine group of people.
I have previously been: Vice- President of Leadership (1yr), College Chapter President (1yr), & candidate for International President of thePhi Theta Kappa Honor Society, Student Congress Representative (1yr), Speech Team Member (1Yr), in addition I was the President of my high school Student Council as well (1yr).I was on the ballot in the consolidated elections on April 7th for Member of Vandalia Board of Education. I have experience working toward a better future for the people of my area & I want to bring that experience to this Association.
Under my Administration ofPhi Theta Kappaat Kaskaskia College, the group went from two state awards to sevenstate awards & four International awards in my one-year term.My prior experience will be the foundation of which I will use to advance SGA & the student body.
