This committee's initial meeting must be scheduled by October 8, 2010. Beginning inmid-October 2010, the committee begins individually reviewing sabbatical applications, then schedules a meeting to deliberate regarding each application. The committee is responsible for formulating a recommendation to the Provost/Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs byNovember 19, 2010.
The Campus Sabbatical and Awards Committee is also responsible for recommending nominated faculty for a number of awards (i.e., Pearson Award, Spencer Award, Faculty Excellence Award, and the Burks Oakley II Distinguished Online Teaching Award) Beginning in the first part ofFebruary 2011 the committee begins individually reviewing nominations and personnel files of those faculty nominated. The committee then meets to deliberate regarding each nomination. The committee is responsible for providing a recommendation byMarch 1, 2011.
