The EDL faculty has selected Technological Learning in a Language Arts Classroom: Defining and Understanding How Students Use Google Chromebooks by Adam Bell.
Mr. Bell’s research investigates students’ use of the technologies, technical skill, and perceptions of the educational value of a novel approach to teaching in which one-on-one tablet laptop technologies had been used as a substantial component of the high school course for the six months prior to the study. The Sigma Phi Omega Gerontology Honor Society’s annual meeting and induction of new members was conducted on October 25, 2013 on the UIS campus. Mary Killough, Illinois Department on Aging Deputy Director, was the evening speaker.
